Willem van Heerden
Admitted as an attorney in 1995 - is the founder of VHI Attorneys.
Apart from consulting at and managing the firm, he specializes
in commercial litigation with a specific preference for litigation relating to the National Credit Act and Insolvency Law.
He has a well-established department specializing in recovery of assets for various Commercial Banks and other Credit Providers.
He furthermore attends to various commercial transactions on behalf of Banks and Corporate Entities and has a separate department attending to Bond and Transfer Registrations.
Professor Corlia van Heerden
Admitted as an attorney in 1993. She practised for 10 years before returning to the academic world.
She is currently practising as an attorney and conveyancer, and is also a Professor in Banking Law at the Department of Mercantile Law at the University of Pretoria where she lectures on the National Credit Act, the Consumer Protection Act, the Insolvency Act and the Competition Act and various aspects of Banking Law.
She holds a doctorate in Law of Civil Procedure and has many years of practical experience. She has been a consultant of the firm since it was first established, is also a director on our board and advises the firm on relevant issues of law.
Professor van Heerden is a co-author of the Guide to the National Credit Act (Lexis Nexis 2008) and is widely regarded as an expert in all matters relating to the National Credit Act and The Consumer Protection Act.
Pierre Griffioen

Admitted as an attorney in 2001 and joined the firm as a director during 2002. He manages
the commercial department and specializes in property developments and the registration of transfers and bonds. He is also a conveyancer and notary.
Frikkie Groenewald
​
Admitted as an attorney in 2002 and became a director in 2002. He has since obtained a diploma in Advanced Labour Law with his area of practice being High Court and Magistrates Court litigation, foreclosures, family law and third party claims. He heads the Foreclosure Litigation Department.
Wayne O’Reilly
​
Admitted as an attorney in 2010 and joined the firm in 2009.
He is head of our Debt Review Department. He furthermore handles asset recovery litigation and commercial High and Magistrate Court litigation with a specific focus on the National Credit Act. He furthermore attends to Family Law and Insolvency related matters whilst having significant experience
in opposing business rescue proceedings.
